Our Studio Story
A Bit About Us
Started by founder Dan Herold, Douzzz Recording Studio (DRS) was founded in 2012 as a Rochester Minnesota area Recording Studio. Offering professional production services to talented bands and musicians. We specialize in demo quality recordings for songwriters, small ensembles, bands, or solo artists. We also do music editing for dance companies and other performance needs. Our studio provides a comfortable and innovative environment to achieve quality work. You will have the options to do all the performing yourself, with your group, or you can have me play and perform the music if performing is not your thing. Whatever audio you would like to create and record, We're here to help you make the most out of your skills and creativity.
Recording Equipment

Offering 3 separate DAW's for whatever you'd like. My main DAW is Apple Logic X. As well I use Reaper and Garageband.
Interface is a Tascam 16x08
Main vocal microphones are
1. AKG P220
2. MXL R144
Guitar to interface midi FX are a Boss GX 700 and a Behringer V-Amp 3 or bring whatever you'd like.
I have 2 Fender Nashville Telecasters, 1 older Fender Stratocaster, 1 Squire Jaguar, Taylor GS Mini and Alvarez recording acoustic, a Fender Banjo, and a Fender mandolin.
Douzzz Recording Studio utilizes a full Midi capabilities using a MOTU Midi Express 128, a M Audio Keystation 61 MIDI controller. I utilize a QConPro G2 USB MIDI Controller Studio.
Keyboards for use are a Suzuki MDG300 Digital Grand, and 2 analog synths; 1 Ensoniq SQ80 and a Roland JX8P. As well, I utilize a Kurzweil midi Micro Piano.
For use is a Roland V Drum Lite kit.
Oh...I have a real nice lava lamp too.
